Generations of indigenous people have used the knowledge passed down from their ancestors to monitor their territory and the well-being of their community.
But that vigilance takes on a new meaning when one of your neighbors becomes a multi-national oil company.
Now they are using state-of-the-art technology to protect their families and their land from pollution. Correspondent Dan Collyns paid them a visit in Peru’s northern Amazon rainforest.
