What can we learn from the forest? Respect Ancestral Knowledge

Indigenous Peoples and local communities are guardians of traditional knowledge. In the face of global issues such as biodiversity loss, deforestation and climate change they are appealing for the valuation and incorporation of ancestral knowledge in tackling these issues.

Discussions at the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues are currently underway in New York and with the focus on Indigenous peoples traditional knowledge, we explore how vast and important that ancestral knowledge is. #UNPFII2019 #UNPFII #WeAreIndigenous
